Federal Aid Eligibility |

|
Students in the College of Professional Studies must meet the following criteria to be eligible for Federal financial aid:
• be citizens or eligible non-citizens of the United States,
• be matriculated in a degree-granting program,
• have received their high school diploma or G.E.D.,
• be registered with Selective Service if required,
• not be convicted of a drug related crime in the last year,
• not be in default from previous student loans, and
• maintain satisfactory academic progress |

Financial Aid Process |

Application
For 2008-2009, CPS students must complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Institutional Application. The 2008-2009 CPS Financial Aid Application is available online.
*For the 2009-2010 academic year, students must complete the FAFSA only; the Institutional Application is no longer required. The 2009-2010 academic year begins with the Summer 2009 term.*
Deadline
Full time students who are Massachusetts residents and are interested in the MASSGrant need to apply by May 1.
Awarding Timeline
CPS students are awarded throughout the academic year once we have received all financial aid application materials.
Award Letter
Students in the College of Professional Studies should pay particular attention to the number of credits listed on your financial aid award letter. If you have been awarded financial aid based on an enrollment status that is different from your actual enrollment, it is your responsibility to contact the Office of Student Financial Services to update the discrepancy. Faliure to do so may result in a decrease or complete refund of your financial aid during an academic term.
